Our Founders

Katrin Patterson founded Gulf Coast School for Autism in 2012 with one goal in mind: to aid children and teenagers with Autism and related disabilities to become educated, independent members of society. She has completed a Behavior Assistant course and has over 15 years of experience in the special education field. She also works through a private company as a behavior assistant. She has attended numerous Applied Behavior Analysis and special education workshops. She strongly believes that communication is the key, so she consistently pushes for constant communication at her school. Gulf Coast School for Autism is a family-run business, so Katrin always includes her two kids and her husband in volunteer efforts around the school. Katrin is very blessed and thanks God each day for allowing her to do what she loves and shape the lives of individuals with disabilities.
